Beginning on August 13, 2026, Namecheap suffered a big outage due to a cooling system failure at its Phoenix data center. The company had to shut down its systems manually to prevent hardware damage, which in turn knocked many sites, DNS networks, and business email accounts offline.

The affected data center, RadiusDC: Phoenix, attributed the cooling issue to elevated temperatures caused by a major storm in the area.
